Hoopbench

Janome SEW files

SEW is an older Janome format. It holds a list of thread slots at the top, about 7.5 KB of header in total, then two bytes per stitch.

Used by

Older Janome machines.

What it keeps

Stitch positions, jumps, colour stops and thread slots.

What it can't hold

Trims and exact colours.

What to watch for

Hoopbench opens SEW but does not write it, so you can only convert away from it.

Best for

Reading old files so that you can bring them into a current format.
